K&N Cold Air Intake for Warm Climates

K&N Cold Air Intake for Warm Climates

K&N cold air intakes are perfect for vehicles that drive in warmer climates where the weather can reach into the 100s in the summer time. When temperatures are this hot, the engine cannot perform as well because it is not sucking in any cool air. Adding a K&N cold air intake will bring the engine some cooler air since it is located at the bottom of the front bumper. This location is where the coolest air can be found while driving.

Automotive engines perform much better when it is delivered cooler air. Warm air is not as easy to work with in the combustion process and it lacks a bit while running. The K&N cold air intake will deliver cooler air than the factory air intake provides. If the outside temperatures are in the 100s, then the air around the engine is much higher than that from all of the moving parts. This extremely hot air is what the factory air intake provides the engine with.

The vehicle's engine will also see an increase in air flow with the cold air intake. The pipes on the K&N air intake are much less restrictive than the factory intake and allow for the best possible air flow with minimal bends. Air that has to travel through many curves becomes restrictive and the engine cannot perform as well. The aftermarket air intake will also not heat up during extreme heat. The tubing is made so it keeps incoming air as cool as possible.
