Designed for increased efficiency, Fass platinum filters eliminate air and vapor from slowing down the fuel system. It can be difficult stopping air from entering your fuel line. Diesel truck owners typically drive in challenging circumstances. A Fass platinum filter is intended to guard against these situations with one functioning unit. Harsh surfaces, fluctuating climates, and vehicle strain all contribute to air making its presence felt in the system. Once a Fass platinum filter is installed, external influences cease holding fuel flow hostage. It is an upgrade that adds new life to a busy truck’s performance level that will not go unnoticed.
If you do not have a fuel air separator installed, you may have endured symptoms of depletion. Low gas mileage, turbulent idling, and starting issues are some of the more common examples of an air or vapor issue. With a fuel air separator, your overall fuel system efficiency improves immediately. Your truck’s horsepower becomes freed, MPGs tick upwards, and your engine’s health is boosted. However, it is important to only run a fuel air separator that is in-line with your vehicle’s HP rating. Standard kits have a flow rating of 95 GPH (gallons per hour) for 600 HP engines. Fuel air separators rated at 150 and 200 GPH are available for 600 and 700 HP engines, respectively.
One of its biggest benefits is resiliency. Each Fass platinum fuel air system boasts a life expectancy of approximately 13,000 to 15,000 hours. That is important, especially for drivers who run their diesels for commercial occupations and are on the road constantly. Most aftermarket diesel fuel filters do not last nearly as long or provide the same level of filtration. Fass filters are also interchangeable and can be switched out as needed.
Whether you drive a GM, Ford, or Dodge, your truck is eligible. Fass platinum fuel air systems are available for Duramax, Cummins, and Powerstroke engines. Check your truck’s engine specifications prior to ordering.
You receive everything required for installation. Fass platinum fuel air systems come with all necessary mounting hardware, hoses, and fittings. It is recommended to keep an extra so that changing it out is not an inconvenience. Having a spare Fass platinum series fuel air filter is suggested, as they need to be replaced between 6,000 and 9,000 miles.
