The cooling system for any vehicle is designed to keep your engine operating at a set temperature so it does not overheat. When an engine overheats, the pistons in the engine will seize up in their cylinders causing them to snap, which then leads to engine failure. Every CSF component offers the proper amount of cooling for your engine so things like this do not happen.
CSF radiators are located at the front of your engine and located close to it is a thermostat. When the engine reaches a certain temperature, the thermostat opens to allow engine coolant and water to flow into the engine. This mixture is held in the CSF heat exchanger and goes into the engine to pick up heat from the friction and burning fuel. The mixture then goes back into small chambers located inside the CSF component.
The engine coolant goes back to the CSF part so it can be cooled before heading back into the engine. This is a constant occurrence as long as the thermostat is open. The thermostat has a set temperature from the manufacturer which allows the flow of coolant. CSF radiators also use aluminum fins that increase air flow while driving to cool down the mixture even further.
There is also a fan located between the engine and radiator that helps even more with cooling. Your engine is a large piece of equipment with many moving parts and heats up extremely quick. A properly working fan paired with a product from CSF will ensure your engine remains cool and will have long life. The strong welds and quality material used on every CSF product also decreases the chance of coolant leaks.
